1. Who We Are

RFTs operates an online marketplace connecting travelers with African tour agencies. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name and profile picture from Google as part of the OAuth flow.

Profile information: You may optionally provide additional details such as your phone number, country, city, date of birth, travel preferences, and emergency contact information.

Usage data: We collect information about how you use the platform, including tours you view, agencies you visit, and items you save to your wishlist.

Reviews: Any reviews you submit are stored and associated with your account.

We do not collect or store payment information. All transactions occur directly between you and the agency.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate and improve the platform, to personalise your experience, to send account-related communications (such as email verification or password reset), and to maintain platform security.

We do not use your information for advertising purposes. RFTs does not display ads and does not sell your data to third parties.

4. Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. This information is used solely to create and manage your RFTs account. We do not receive access to your Google Drive, Gmail, or any other Google services.

By using Google Sign-In, you also agree to Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Third-Party Services

RFTs uses the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• Google OAuth — for sign-in authentication
• Cloudflare — for content delivery and media storage
• Redis — for session and cache management (no personal data is permanently stored)

Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies. We do not share your personal information with any other third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information will be removed from our systems within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal or operational reasons.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us or managing your account settings. You may also withdraw consent for optional data at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

Users under 13 are not permitted to use RFTs. Users between 13 and 18 may use the platform only with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such data has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of RFTs after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
