Day-by-Day Itinerary
5.30.am Departure of Guests
-The Guests are expected to be ready for departure by 5.50 am.
5.30 am – 8.00 am The safari will commence at Kisumu County with a drive through
the Kenya Highlands, the Rift valley and Narok County.Guest will have a break at
Bomet for 20 minutes
9.00 am- 11.30 am Narok county, Olare Mara.
Narok County is Home to the Wildlife Heaven Maasai Mara, here the valley is wide
and the towering escarpment can be seen in the hazy distance
12.00 pm- 2.00 pm Arrival and checking in at the lodge, take lunch and relax after a
long drive waiting for the evening sundowner.
4.00 pm-5.30 Evening sundowner and Masai Village visit.
After a rest from the travelling the guest will have an evening sundowner experience
in the Savanna grass land of Masai Mara and experience the spectacular show as the
sun sinks in a huge mango pink ball and drops slowly behind the gray blue of the
escarpment. This same spectacle will also find us already mingling with masai’s in
their village, cows coming back from grazing, young women getting ready to milk
while older men welcome guests with enchanting songs and dance. You will be
thrilled
(6.00 am- 4.00pm) Morning drive after breakfast or bush breakfast and then later
picnic lunch.
Afternoon drive.
The Mara is a large park in Narok County with four main types of terrain:
1. The Ngama Hills- located to the east sanctuary soil and leafy bushes and is
favored by the black rhino
2. Oloololo Escarpment- Forms the western boundary and rising to
magnificent Plateaus
3. Mara Triangle- forms the Mara triangle bordering the Mara river with lush
green land favored by the plain game.
4. During the peak of the wild beast migration which is from early July to
August this is the river of life and death, as life and death are on parade at
the most reliable perilous site of the great migration.
Wake up in the savanna and enjoy the peace nature gives you in the wild, take
breakfast by 8am, start the morning nature walk, a slight hike in the hills around the
village, view the whole community, town centre and the park from the top point if
the hill, very amazing.
Come back to the lodge for refreshing up before checking out at 10:30am for return
journey to Kisumu.
