Day-by-Day Itinerary

● 6:00 AM: Meetup in Kisumu: Gather at the designated meeting point for introductions
and a brief safari overview.
● 6:15 AM: Departure: Begin our exciting journey towards the Masai Mara National
Reserve. We'll pass through the scenic teafields of Ikonge- chepilat , making a brief stop
at a viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic photos.
● Mid-Morning: Scenic Drive & Lunch Enroute: Continue our drive through picturesque
landscapes, arriving at a designated stop for a packed picnic lunch.
● Afternoon: Arrival at Camp & Afternoon Game Drive: Arrive at our budget tented
camp located just outside the Masai Mara National Reserve.(Optional) After a quick
check-in, we immediately head out for our first exhilarating game drive in the Mara. This
is your chance to spot wildebeest, zebras, lions, elephants, giraffes, and many more.
● Evening: Dinner & Overnight at Camp: Return to the camp as the sun sets over the
savannah. Enjoy a hearty dinner and relax under the vast African sky, sharing stories of
the day's sightings.

● Early Morning: Breakfast & Half Game Drive: Wake up early for breakfast, then
embark on an extended morning game drive. This is often the best time for wildlife
viewing as animals are most active. We'll explore different sections of the reserve,
aiming to spot any animals we might have missed, and hopefully witness some predator
action or the wildebeest crossing the Mara River.
● Late Morning: Picnic Lunch in the Wilderness: Enjoy another delicious packed picnic
lunch amidst the sights and sounds of the Mara, maximizing our time in the reserve.
● Afternoon: Optional Maasai Village Visit & Departure: After the game drive, you'll
have the option to visit a traditional Maasai village for a cultural experience (additional
cost). Afterward, we begin our journey back to Kisumu
● Evening: Arrival in Kisumu: Arrive back in Kisumu, concluding our memorable Masai
Mara budget safari.

  • Optional Activities: ○ Maasai Village Visit (approx. USD 20 - 30 per person, paid directly to the Maasai community). ○ Hot Air Balloon Safari (approx. USD 450 - 500 per person, booked in advance).
  • Other Additional Drinks & Snacks: Any drinks or snacks beyond the provided meals and water
  • Personal Expenses: Souvenirs, laundry, tips, and any other items of a personal nature.
